Basmati Rice MUST be used with this recipe Put some Water and Salt in a large
pan and bring to the boil.
Add the Basmati rice, Bay Leaves, Turmeric and Cardamom Pods and
cook for 8 minutes.
Drain and leave to cool for 30 minutes.
Heat the oil and fry the Onion until translucent.
Stir in the Rice, Raisins and Grated Almonds and stir fry until piping
hot.
Serve garnished with Flaked Almonds.
